Description - Vibhuti, also known as bhasma or sacred ash, holds a prominent place in Hindu rituals and spiritual practices, particularly in Shaivism. Traditionally, it is made from the ash of burned dried wood, cow dung, or other plant materials used in specific rituals. Devotees of Lord Shiva often apply vibhuti in the form of three horizontal lines across the forehead, known as tripundra, which symbolize the purity and transient nature of the physical body.

Use in poojas and rituals:

• Body application: Vibhuti is commonly applied to various parts of the body, such as the forehead, throat, and chest. Each application point is associated with a different chakra and is believed to enhance spiritual receptivity. For example, applying vibhuti to the center of the chest (anahata chakra) is believed to help one receive life as love, while applying it to the throat (vishuddhi chakra) is associated with receiving life as power.
