This rich sweet is one of the most popular desserts in northern and eastern India, as well as the most laborious; the milk must be simmered for several hours while continuously thickened with sugar.

Ingredients: Concentrated Buffalo Milk (Khoya), sugar, clarified butter (ghee), cardamom, and edible silver foil.
