Haldiram's Besan Burfi is a traditional Indian sweet delicacy made from gram flour (besan), ghee and high quality sugar.
The sweet is usually cut into square or diamond-shaped pieces, with a rich golden yellow color. Each piece is often garnished with sliced almonds, pistachios, or cardamom seeds for added flavor and decoration.
It has a slightly grainy yet melt-in-the-mouth texture thanks to the roasted chickpea flour and the richness of the ghee. The use of khoya, or condensed milk solids, enhances the creamy consistency.
Haldiram's Besan Burfi offers a delicious blend of toasted besan, aromatic cardamom, and the sweetness of sugar. The richness of ghee and the nutty garnish enhance the overall flavor.
