Sample Recipe: Classic Butter Chicken:
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of chicken, boneless and cubed
- 200g of natural yogurt
- 100g MDH Butter Chicken Masala
- 200ml tomato puree
- 100g of cream
- 50g unsalted butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix the yogurt, half of the MDH Butter Chicken Masala, salt, and the chicken pieces. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Cooking the Chicken: Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until all sides are browned. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan, melt the butter. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onions are translucent. Add the remaining MDH Butter Chicken Masala and the tomato puree. Cook for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
- Combine the Chicken and Sauce: Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Mix well to ensure the chicken is coated with the sauce. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add Cream: Stir in the cream and simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve warm with naan bread or basmati rice for a complete meal.
