Bombay Chowpatty Pani Puri Recipe:
Our recommendation: For extra crispy puris, remove them from the container and microwave them on medium heat for 45 seconds (times may vary from microwave to microwave), or heat them in a conventional oven for 3-4 minutes (times may vary from oven to oven).
Pani Puri Water: Add 250 ml of cold water to the 50 g sachet of pani puri chutney or dilute to taste.
Date and tamarind chutney: Add 180 ml of cold water to an 80 g sachet of date and tamarind chutney or dilute to taste.
Bundi Filling: Soak the bundi in water for 2 minutes. Drain off the excess water.
To make Pani Puri: Place puris on a plate and make a small hole in the top of each. Fill the puris halfway with bundis, add a little date and tamarind chutney, and then spoon over the pani puri water to taste. Serve immediately. For a delicious alternative, fill the puris halfway with mashed boiled potatoes, bundis, chopped onion, fresh cilantro leaves, and a pinch of salt. The rest of the procedure is the same as above.

Content:

  • Puris: These special puris (crispy fried mini pastries) were created by the pani puri walas of chowpatty, a great way to serve cold salt water.
  • Bundi: Small dots of gram flour are fried crispy to add flavor to pani puri.
  • Pani Puri Chutney: A tangy and spicy chutney with a hint of mint, cilantro leaves, and green chili. Mixed with cold water, it enhances its salty flavor.
  • Date and Tamarind Chutney: This exotic chutney gives pani puri its lip-smacking sweet and tangy flavor.
