DESCRIPTION -
Sesame seeds, or 'til' as they are called in Hindi, are a common condiment used in many parts of the world.
Sesame seeds are tiny, oil-rich seeds that grow in pods on the Sesamum indicum plant. Hulled seeds have the edible outer shell intact, while unhulled seeds are unhulled. The hull gives the seeds a golden-brown hue. Hulled seeds have a whitish color but turn brown when roasted.
Sesame seeds are rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They are commonly added to certain foods to provide a nutty flavor and crunchy texture.
