- antibacterial, purifying, fights dandruff
- gives shiny and silky hair
- very gentle on hair and skin
Applications -
- suitable for all skin and hair types
- It is especially recommended for oily hair, irritated scalp, dandruff, oily complexion, and skin affected by acne.
- A good alternative to soaps and surfactants for sensitive skin and scalps, also used as a "no-poo" product.
How to use -
- Mask: Mix with warm water, form a paste, let it cool. Apply to your face and leave on for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse. For sensitive skin, dilute with more neutral powders, such as white clay or rice powder.
- Hair mask (instant shampoo): Mix with warm water, form a smooth paste, let it cool, apply to hair and scalp, massage, leave on for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Reetha powder can be combined with other powders for hair care and hygiene such as: shikakai, amla, nettle, kapoor kachli, ghassoul
- mixed with other powders, such as dry shampoo
- mix with other specific ingredients and for a body scrub of a facial scrub
- Make a 10% infusion for 10-15 minutes; filter the infusion and use as is on the face/hair or as an aqueous phase in cosmetic formulations.
- A higher concentration of saponins can be obtained by boiling reetha powder in water; the resulting solution can be used as a 100% natural and vegetable shampoo, shower gel, or liquid soap. The solution should be used immediately or preserved (with 0.6% Cosgard) and kept refrigerated.
