Shan's Punjabi Yakhni Pulao Recipe and Masala Mix is a convenient spice blend that allows you to easily prepare a delicious and authentic Punjabi Yakhni Pulao at home. This blend contains spices such as cumin, coriander, cardamom, and black pepper, which give it a rich and aromatic flavor. The masala mix is ideal for preparing yakhni pulao with chicken, lamb, or vegetables.

Ingredients -

Salt, coriander, ginger, papain, black pepper, brown cardamom, green cardamom, cumin, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, red chili, garlic, black cumin.

Cooking Guidelines -

  • In 7 cups of water, add the meat, garlic, ginger, and Shan Punjabi Yakhni Pilaf Mix. Cover and simmer until the meat is completely tender and soft.
  • Next, remove the meat from the broth. Measure the broth and bring it to 6 full cups. If there's less broth, add water; if there's more, boil until it evaporates. Strain the broth, remove it, and discard the spices.
  • In hot ghee/oil, fry the onions until lightly browned. Then add the meat and broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Drain the soaked rice well and add it to the meat and boiling broth.
  • Cover tightly and cook over medium heat for exactly 20 minutes. Then, remove from heat and stir in the pilau.
