How to use -

• Clean all surfaces around the hole in the cover where the safety valve will be located.
  
• Unscrew the new nut and remove the washer and set them aside, with the beveled side of the nut facing up.
  
• Hold the valve and apply a small amount of food-safe sealant or glue to the valve threads (to prevent leaks). Push the valve into the safety valve hole from the bottom of the cap and hold it in place with your left hand. Place the washer around the valve threads on the top surface of the cap. Place the nut (beveled side up) over the washer and screw it clockwise until finger-tight.
  
• Wipe up any spilled sealant or glue while it is still fresh and soft.
